Here's a genuine antique Brooch. The diamonds are all gem-quality - colorless and loupe clean.
They are modern round brilliant, by definition, yet they are extremely early examples- so the light performance characteristics have an antique vibe. The smaller stones are so cute.
Given the vintage, there wasn't the precision to make then as cookie-cutter as modern "melee". So some have open culets - all are just gorgeous.
The tiny emeralds add so much personality as well.
The workmanship is commensurate with the quality of the diamonds. You just don't find artisans like this today.
The piece measures about 2 x 1 inch.
