An example of something fungible is a dollar bill. Any bill printed by the US Treasury is equal to any other bill of the same denomination. Fungible.
Go into your favorite big box store. If they carry diamond studs, they're fungible. A number on a spreadsheet.
These earrings - these diamonds - are NOT fungible.

They are graded by GIA. That alone makes them rare in the world of lab Diamonds. GIA no longer grades Lab Diamonds in the same manner as mined diamonds.
