This ring came to us as part of an estate liquidation. The dearly departed was a great client of DBL... and she apparently had wide ranging - and exquisite taste.
This design is out of a dream, the execution is flawless.
Starting with the center diamonds. They are set in a way that makes them all look like one, gorgeous Asscher. If it was a single stone, I'd say it would be about 5 carats.
It's actually made up of 9 separate diamonds. The center asscher, I estimate to be .40cts. Then there are 4 trapezoidal stones - really straight baguettes with the corners trimmed. The four corner stones are "Superman" shaped shields. I guesstimate them to be .10ct each.
All the stones are natural diamonds, colorless and VS+ in clarity.
They are invisibly set from below. Artfully done. A visual treat.
