I adore looking at this stone in the ring. It's deep red. So deep that you can't really tell how deep inside the stone you can actually see. Of course, you would not expect the transparency of a diamond - this ruby has just the right amount of silkiness for me, in person.
I hate the way this ring looks in my pictures, in relation to the actual stone.
If you examine the ruby with a loupe, you see a lot of internal graining - silkiness. None of this affects the durability or overall beauty.
The diamond is totally colorless, eye clean, and beautifully cut.
Our bench did a wonderful job with the custom made ring.
